About The Role
This Technical Sales Advisor is a Fixed Term Contract covering Maternity Leave. Our Hose division is one of our technically specialised parts of Arco. We design, specify, and supply a full range of industrial hose solutions for sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing, marine, and construction. From high-pressure assemblies used offshore to bespoke hose configurations for unique industrial applications, our team ensures every product meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. We also produce custom-built hose assemblies, complete with testing and certification to ensure total confidence for our customers.
We're looking for a Technical Sales Advisor to join our team. Once trained, you’ll be the go-to expert for complex and non-standard hose requirements. You’ll combine technical expertise with commercial awareness to create accurate, profitable quotations and deliver exceptional end-to-end customer service. This is a dynamic role where no two enquiries are the same. You’ll manage customer requirements via phone, email and internal systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide accurate technical advice on hose products and assemblies
* Read and understand customer drawings and technical specifications
* Prepare accurate quotations and orders using our SAP system
* Deliver excellent customer service through phone, email, and internal systems
* Support with promotional activities and customer feedback processes
* Work collaboratively across teams to meet customer needs and business goals
The ideal Technical Sales Advisor will be/have
* A willingness to learn and be curious about how things work and enjoy problem-solving
* Communicates clearly and confidently
* Is organised, accurate, and eager to take on new challenges
* Previous knowledge or experience using SAP would be beneficial
* Track record of great customer service is essential
