Develop and support on the safety certification process (. DO178/254) from the requirements definition and being the point of contact for audits and reviews of the certification process.
Responsibilities
1. Support development and verification of embedded software in C language, certifiable for mission and safety critical avionics systems according to the RTCA DO-178B/C up to and including Design Assurance Level A
2. Participation in the drafting of the documentation related to the SW Development process (SW Requirements Data, SW Design Description) starting from the System Requirements provided.
3. Analysis and resolution of issues related to the SW integration and HW/SW integration process
4. Supporting project planning efforts and ensuring execution to schedule
5. Generating and reviewing SW related engineering documentation
6. Managing documentation and SW code in adherence to Configuration Management and Change Control procedures
7. Conducting or participating in design reviews and supporting customer audits
8. Managing assigned tasks simultaneously and effectively communicating with the team members and the group head.
Qualification and skills
9. Degree or higher in computer science, electronic engineering, or similar disciplines
10. Proven experience in designing, coding, integrating, verifying and carefully documenting SW for embedded systems
11. Experience in the certification of embedded software according to DO-178B/C
12. Knowledge of DO-254 an advantage
13. Ability to generate accurate life-cycle software artifacts, required for formal documentation of the software design and verification process
14. Capacity of adopting a systematic and structured analysis for software troubleshooting
