CDC Accreditation Lead

To support the Divisional Governance Lead in quality, governance and safety standards in the Community Diagnostic Centres service covering both the JPUH site and the Northgate CDCs.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing and accountable for Improving Quality in Physiological Services (IQIPS).
* Managing Quality Standards for Imaging (QSI).
* Managing the requirements for quality and competence in a medical laboratory environment (ISO15189).
* Supporting the integration of new diagnostic pathways into the service, ensuring accreditation requirements and clinical governance frameworks are met.
* Overseeing accreditation processes throughout the CDC, ensuring successful obtainment through the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and ongoing maintenance.
* Supporting Specialty Leads in ensuring high quality audits and governance processes.
* Leading the CDC through the accreditation process, coordinating with accreditation teams and maintaining accreditation.
* Completing web‑based electronic assessment annually following accreditation.
* Coordinating the service's responses to UKAS, ensuring all evidence uploaded to the specialities web‑based assessment is relevant, up‑to‑date and fully meets the criteria.
* Coordinating ongoing requirements of CDC standards and ensuring compliance.
* Organising and coordinating onsite visits with the accreditation team.
* Working closely with the Senior Operations Manager, Clinical Governance Lead Matron and specialty leads to maintain governance and safety standards.
* Coordinating audits and evidence requirements with the Senior Leadership team and Clinical Leads, promoting continuous quality improvement.
* Negotiating and collaborating with all levels of staff to resolve issues and remove barriers to enable change.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Educated to degree level.
* Master's degree or equivalent experience in governance, safety and the accreditation process.
* Knowledge of a good level of work procedures and practices in relation to governance.
Knowledge and Experience
* Significant experience in governance and safety practice within a clinical environment.
* Experience in clinical audit / benchmarking.
* Significant knowledge of governance, safety and risk standards, including national and local standards.
* Ability to analyse large amounts of complex information on audits, statistics, and other governance procedures.
* Experience in undertaking presentations and public speaking.
* Prior experience with the UKAS accreditation process.
Attitude and Aptitude
* Clear and accurate written and verbal communication.
* Able to manage priorities under pressures and work to deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
* Can influence and negotiate with others at all levels.
