Overview
We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead our 3 bedded Children’s Home located near Grantham. This is an exciting opportunity for a current manager seeking a new challenge or an experienced deputy manager looking for the next step in their career to be an integral part shaping the home. We are committed to delivering therapeutic care to children and young people to provide them with the best emotional and physical environment to live in. Children and young people residing at the home may have experienced significant trauma and may have specific learning, physical and/or emotional needs. We are looking for someone who has a passion delivering therapeutic care and has previous experience in a similar environment.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
* To have full responsibility and to take a lead in the day to day running and oversight of the home.
* To have full responsibility for the children and their welfare day to day, ensuring our therapeutic methods are being implemented at all times.
* To have a full and active role in the recruitment of a staff team.
* To give full support to the staff team to ensure they are competent in delivering the highest standard of care.
* To deliver consistent high quality care and meet all Ofsted requirements.
* To develop and encourage a fun and nurturing environment for the children and a progressive and coherent environment for the staff.
* Oversee all safeguarding within the home and to be the home’s safeguarding lead.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in a managerial role within a children's residential home.
* Experience in developing care plans that cater to individual needs, particularly for children with complex needs.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with families and staff.
* NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Services as a minimum.
* Experience in implementing therapeutic care.
* Experience of safeguarding and liaising with multi-agency teams.
* Minimum of 2 years experience working in a supervisory position within residential children’s care.
Desirable Qualifications
* NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services. (If not completed must be willing to work towards)
* Qualifications and prior experience in implementing therapeutic models of care
