What you'll be doing
In this senior advisory role, you'll act as a key HR partner to managers and employees across the organisation. Your work will include:
* Providing practical, confident HR advice on performance, absence, conduct, and wider employee relations matters
* Managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes
* Coaching managers to develop their people management skills and build high-performing teams
* Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies, processes, and practices that improve the employee experience
* Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, induction, and wider employee lifecycle activities
* Using HR data to spot trends, identify risks, and recommend improvements
* Ensuring HR operations are accurate, compliant, and run smoothly
* Contributing to HR projects that strengthen workforce capability and support organisational change
What will help you succeed
You're likely to thrive in this role if you bring:
* Strong, hands-on experience in HR advisory work, particularly employee relations
* Confidence managing complex and sensitive cases with discretion and sound judgement
* The ability to coach and influence managers at different levels
* A genuine interest in organisational development and improving how people experience work
* A collaborative, approachable style and strong relationship-building skills
* Experience within manufacturing or a similar operational environment
* Experience improving or implementing HR policies or processes
* Confidence using HRIS platforms and HR data to inform decisions
* A strong commitment to compliance and best practice
Qualifications
* CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) - essential
* CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent), or working towards - desirable but not essential
