Job Description

Precision Deburr Specialist
* Location: Poole
* Job Type: Full-time - Either days or double days (with an uplift)
* Salary: Negotiable hourly rates

We are looking for a skilled Precision Deburr Specialist to join our Clients team. This role requires expertise in deburring and machining intricate components while maintaining high quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing precision work.

Day-to-day of the role:
* Precision deburr of metal components using various tools and techniques.
* Check and deburr work under magnification to ensure accuracy.
* Read engineering drawings to identify critical features necessary for quality control.
* Select the correct inspection equipment and tooling for manufacturing.
* Adhere to drawing specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
* Change inserts and adjust machine offsets as needed.
* Select and identify bushes & fixtures to protect critical features during production.
* Hand engrave traceable numbers on components.
* Shot blast components for cleaning and preparation for future treatments.
* Clean and protect components after processing.
* Check and complete necessary quality documentation to maintain standards.
* Adhere to Lean principles to optimize production efficiency.
* Take responsibility for maintaining a clean and safe work area.
* Undertake training of other employees to ensure skill and knowledge transfer.
* Collaborate with Production Engineers on Continuous Improvements (CI) initiatives.
* Complete component tool sheets/SOP when required.
* Utilize the Kanban process effectively.
* Perform other duties as required, commensurate with the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in deburring intricate features in a variety of components.
* Skilled in selecting the correct tooling and methods for precision jobs.
* Demonstrable ability to perform work to a high quality and standard.
* High attention to detail and a right-first-time approach.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing business demands.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
* Thorough understanding of Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Positive attitude and ability to work calmly under pressure.
