Role overview
We are looking for a proactive and personable IT Support Technician to join our dynamic Tech Team. In this key role, you'll provide essential IT support to internal staff, working with server and PC technologies, alongside a range of software, peripheral devices, and communication systems. You'll also handle the day-to-day administration of systems and devices, ensuring seamless operations and user satisfaction.
* The role is based at our HQ in Newton Abbot, Devon, but there will be an option to work one day a week from home.

What we need you to do
* Provide 1st and 2nd line support for all hardware, software, peripherals, and data communications.
* Respond to user faults logged on the Helpdesk or as directed by the Platform Operations Manager.
* Support 3rd line tasks and contribute to the administration, development, and management of server, network, and communication infrastructure.
* Identify weaknesses and propose improvements in infrastructure administration and development.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and implement effective resolutions.
* Participate in structured learning programs with external companies as required
Your Skills
* GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and Active Directory.
* Familiarity with desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and associated drivers. Understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS for wide and local area networks.
* Self-motivated, able to multitask under pressure, and work effectively within a team. Flexible with working hours and available for on-call duties as required.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to engage with staff at all levels. Ability to organise workload efficiently and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Proactive in suggesting and implementing improvements.
