Part-Time Barista / Café Assistant
Location: Café Hogmoor, Hogmoor Road, GU35 9HN
Hours: Weekends (with additional hours during school holidays)
We are a very busy, independent café located in the heart of a well-loved local green space, and we're looking for a Barista / Café Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous front of house experience and Barista training.
Our café is a hub for walkers, families, dog owners and regulars from the local community. Weekends and school holidays are our busiest times, so we need someone who is confident behind the coffee machine and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
You will be:
* Preparing and serving high-quality hot and cold drinks to a consistent standard
* Operating the coffee machine confidently during busy periods
* Taking orders and handling payments efficiently
* Serving food and assisting with light food preparation
* Keeping the café clean, organised and welcoming
* Delivering warm, genuine customer service, even during peak rushes
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Have previous barista experience and be confident making a range of espresso-based drinks
* Be comfortable working quickly and accurately under pressure
* Have a friendly, outgoing and professional manner
* Be reliable and punctual
* Work well as part of a small, supportive team
* Be available to work weekends consistently and additional shifts during school holidays
