Job Description:
Our Shepperton branch is seeking a Control Room Operative to be at the heart of our daily operations.
Pay: per hour, rising to per hour after probation (plus £2589 per annum London Allowance)
Do you want to work in a place where your team values you? Do you have a positive attitude and the desire to learn and succeed?
This is a great opportunity for someone with a high level of integrity to develop within Loomis UK - one of the market leaders in our industry. We are an organization with a strong national presence and are part of the Loomis Group - a worldwide security sector leader.
Who are we?
Loomis UK is a cash handling company, helping manage the public flow of cash in society. From secure money safes to intelligent smart safes, cash in transit and cash processing, Loomis supports businesses throughout the UK with crucial cash and coin collection and delivery services, along with ATM management and replenishment services.
The role
As a Loomis Control Room Operative, you will coordinate and monitor daily transport routes using planning and tracking tools, ensuring compliance with operational and legislative requirements. You’ll liaise closely with internal teams and external partners to support service delivery and maintain high standards of efficiency and security. Responsibilities include managing vehicle tracking, issuing equipment and access codes, processing administrative documentation, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will be responsible for opening and closing the branch, overseeing control room security, and reporting incidents.
While primarily based at the branch, support at Heathrow or Gatwick airside operations may be required, covering driver shortages and undertaking road duties when necessary. An existing HGV license is highly desirable.
If you're a logical thinker, safety-conscious, and a strong team player, this role could be a great fit for you!
About you
You’ll be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team. With a logical approach to problem-solving, you’re comfortable managing change in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize tasks effectively. Your time management and organizational skills are excellent, and you're confident using IT systems to plan, monitor, and report on operations.
Ideally, you’ll have knowledge of transport legislation and experience in roles such as Driver Guard, Vault Operative, or related fields. A full UK driving license is essential. An HGV license and SIA accreditation are advantageous; we can support you in obtaining the latter if needed.
Security criteria include:
* Passing criminal record, credit, and ID checks
* Verifiable 10-year employment/unemployment/educational history
* Current UK driving license
* Approval to attain an SIA license. Existing CVIT SIA license holders qualify for post-probation pay and a £1,000 bonus. If not held, you will be supported to obtain one during probation.
We offer:
* 24 days holiday per year (excluding bank holidays)
* 12-week induction and training (The Loomis Way)
* Life Assurance
* Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
* A safe and supportive culture
* Full uniform and PPE
* MyRewards – discounts for everyday life
* Cycle to Work scheme
* Career progression opportunities
You will receive top-tier security training and support. If customer service is your passion and you want to grow your career, apply today with your CV including a full job history. We look forward to your application.
