The Lead role requires at least 3 years of leading a team of engineers and delivering at least 5 projects in the UK of the size of 50MW, including BESS projects.
Role Summary
This is a key role for the UK EPC engineering design hub, supporting colleagues in the UK and internationally.
You’ll take a Project Engineering role on the effective design of large-scale ground mount solar projects, BESS, and other technologies, working closely with the engineering team.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop BESS designs for tenders and construction (UK and international)
* Develop Solar PV designs for tenders and construction (UK and international)
* Provide systems design input into strategic bids, proposals, developments, and planning applications
* Coordinate with internal resources
* Participate in monthly project meetings
* Support project preparation of Bill of Quantities
* Support engineering efforts on-site visits when required
* Work closely with the Design Manager/Lead Project Engineer and Tendering Team
* Collaborate with other UK design teams to support the wider business
Person Specification
* Graduate from a Master’s program in engineering, ideally in Renewables
* Team player passionate about the energy sector
* Professional engineering background – Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Power Systems Engineering (or similar)
* Knowledge of relevant software tools: PV Case, AutoCAD, PV Syst, PV Sol, etc.
* Keen to learn relevant design and building standards and protocols
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
* Able to attend the UK office regularly and travel as required, effective working remotely
