Memorials Sales Director Contract: Full-time, Permanent Location: Birmingham, West Midlands (Hybrid flexible) Salary: Up to £100,000 per annum yearly bonus Join a values-driven organisation shaping the future of funeral services in the UK. Dignity Funerals is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Director of Memorials to lead the transformation and growth of our national memorials and cemetery business. This newly defined leadership role will be responsible for redefining how memorialisation is understood, chosen, and experienced across the UK, helping us build a more emotionally resonant, accessible, and high-performing category. With full P&L ownership of a £30M business line and a mandate to double it over the next three years, this is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic, emotionally intelligent leader to make a real difference for families at a pivotal time in their lives. Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial strategy and performance of Dignity’s memorial and cemetery categories. Oversee product development, marketing, pricing, sales operations, and customer experience. Build and roll out modern sales tools including CRM, visual collateral, and digital channels. Develop and grow a high-performing national sales team through capability building and support. Enhance the customer journey across all memorial touchpoints — from in-person to online. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, grounds teams, IT, and finance. Use insight and analytics to drive site-level improvements and national decision-making. We’re Looking For Proven experience in commercial or category leadership, ideally in a high-trust sector (e.g. healthcare, housing, funerals, or life planning). Strong background in product management, marketing, and digital tools. Demonstrated success leading multi-site or distributed sales teams. Deep understanding of customer journeys and emotionally sensitive service delivery. Data-driven mindset with experience implementing CRM and customer engagement tools. Strategic thinker with the resilience and ambition to drive transformation in a complex organisation. Empathetic and emotionally intelligent leadership style.
