The Opportunity
We are the only veterinary practice on the historic island of Portland, linked by road to the seaside town of Weymouth. Our practice is on a picturesque high street with views of the sea and the dramatic Jurassic coast… and we even have our very own castle!
Remuneration
£50,000.00 to £55,000.00 per annum.

We are the only veterinary practice on the historic island of Portland, linked by road to the seaside town of Weymouth. Our practice is on a picturesque high street with views of the sea and the dramatic Jurassic coast… and we even have our very own castle!
We have an incredibly loyal client base who trust us to give exceptional care and compassion to their animals, led by a highly experienced Branch Partner, supported by a fantastic in-house Nursing team, who are involved in supporting the local community and have judged a local dog show.
Portland features 2 modern consult rooms, a full laboratory including biochemistry, a theatre, dental X-rays and dental machine, ultrasound, and a good balance of surgery and consults throughout the week.
The role offers the opportunity to learn from an experienced leader while building your own brand with our clients and their pets.

Role Accountabilities

In This Role You Will
* Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
* Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
* Maintain professional standards, observing regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
* Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans with clear cost estimates.
* Engage, mentor, and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilization.
* Complete clinical handovers and coordinate patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care.
* Support and share clinical best practices within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills And Experience
* RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
* Experience in delivering exceptional care to patients and clients.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
* Experience supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, understanding their contribution to clinic performance.
* Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve their best.
