Your new company
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC systems, strong mechanical knowledge, and electrical experience will be assigned to deliver on-site services and support three days per week-Monday, Wednesday, and Friday-for 8 hours each day at a leading public sector organisation in Liverpool. The aim of this 12-week project is to provide support in managing PCS operations and overseeing specialist contractors engaged for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks via the service hub.
Your new role
The main objective of this secondment is to support PCS in effectively managing the demands on its mechanical services. This involves handling service hub communications-such as emails and calls-coordinating contractor schedules, and maintaining clear dialogue with PCS managers.
Team collaboration is key, with an emphasis on proactively identifying potential safety hazards and establishing safe working practices in partnership with the Head of Department. The engineer will also be responsible for assessing the performance of specialist contractors, ensuring adherence to best practices and full compliance with Health and Safety standards throughout the duration of the assignment.
What you'll need to succeed
- NVQ in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with HVAC systems
- Experience working on PPMs
- Preferably public sector experience
