Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer - 12 Month FTC

VIQU is working with a leading professional services organisation seeking an experienced Infrastructure / Server Engineer to support a Microsoft-focused hybrid environment (on-prem & cloud). This is a hands-on role involving BAU support, automation, and infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing as Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer:
* Supporting and maintaining critical Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory and Windows Server estates
* Managing hybrid environments that integrate on-prem systems with Azure and Microsoft 365
* Working with identity and access technologies such as ADFS, SSO, and Entra ID
* Maintaining and improving virtualised environments (VMware) and enterprise storage platforms (e.g. Dell EMC, HPE, vSAN)
* Writing and enhancing scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency
* Contributing to resilient infrastructure design, including clustering and high-availability solutions
* Following established IT service management practices (incident, change, and problem management)
* Partnering with internal teams to deliver upgrades, enhancements, and infrastructure projects
What We're Looking For as Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer:
* Strong Microsoft infrastructure experience (Windows Server, AD)
* Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365
* Knowledge of Entra ID and modern identity
* VMware or similar virtualisation experience
* Scripting skills (PowerShell or equivalent)
* Solid networking fundamentals
* Experience in ITIL or structured environments
