The Facilities Officer role:
As a Facilities Officer, you will support the Facilities Manager in providing effective facilities support to Migrant Help and Clear Voice, ensuring compliance with legislation, health and safety standards, and managing premises and safety matters.

Responsibilities:
* Support the Facilities Manager in managing offices and premises, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
* Procure fixtures and fittings, undertake day-to-day maintenance, and manage the asset register.
* Support utility contracts aligned with our Environmental Management policy to reduce energy usage and waste.
* Maintain records of risk assessments, safe systems of work, and statutory compliance checks such as fire safety and electrical testing.
* Build and maintain relationships with external partners, landlords, and internal managers to ensure compliance and safety standards.
* Assist managers with DSE self-assessments and follow-ups.
* Conduct audits and facilities checks to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
* Record accidents and near misses, working with involved parties to prevent recurrence.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet specifications and safety requirements.
Required skills and experience:
* Proven experience advising managers on facilities and health & safety matters.
* Strong problem-solving, organizational, and administrative skills.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to produce engaging reports and communicate complex information clearly.
* Innovative problem-solving abilities.
