Offer description

Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to residents by planning and implementing care that gives them security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and influence the rest of the team. Whether you are showing someone how to use a walking frame, supporting someone at the end of life, or speaking with a resident’s family, you will do so with kindness as the guiding principle. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.

Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy, ability to get along with people, a clear understanding of what good record keeping looks like, and effective time management. You’ll communicate with residents and co-workers with genuine consideration and kindness.
