Offer description

Sociology Grads—Ready to Put Theory into Practice?

If you’ve studied how society works, now’s your chance to shape it—one student at a time.

We’re working with secondary schools across Newcastle who are looking for Teaching Assistants, Pastoral Mentors, and Behaviour Support Staff. It’s hands-on, people-focused, and a brilliant fit for Sociology grads who care about social change, inclusion, and education.

Your role could include:

1. Supporting pupils who need help with behaviour, engagement, or confidence

2. Working with students from diverse backgrounds, including those with SEND or SEMH needs

3. Helping young people navigate school life and build brighter futures

4. Collaborating with pastoral teams, teachers, and external agencies

What you’ll get:

5. £90–£110 per day, paid weekly through PAYE

6. Free Thrive training (great for supporting emotional wellbeing)

7. Real-world experience in schools that value your perspective

8. 1:1 support from your Protocol consultant

You’ll love this if you:

9. Have a degree in Sociology (or similar)

10. Believe in equity, education, and second chances

11. Want experience that leads to social work, teaching, or youth support careers

This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to be part of something bigger.
