Your new company A well‑established organisation based in Portadown is seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its finance team on a permanent basis. Your new role Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day operation of the Accounts Payable function, supporting a large supplier base in a fast‑paced environment.Your responsibilities will include:
* Processing purchase invoices and credits onto the ERP system using Ephesoft scanning software
* Managing supplier accounts and responding to queries in a professional and timely manner
* Reconciling supplier statements and GRNI balances, resolving discrepancies efficiently
* Reconciling unallocated payments
* Ongoing maintenance of supplier accounts
* Preparing accounts for payment runs
* Supporting ad‑hoc Accounts Payable and finance tasks as required
* Actively promoting a strong compliance culture, ensuring adherence to internal policies, procedures, and the Integrated Management System (IMS)
* Promoting high standards of health, safety, environmental, quality, and product compliance
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous experience in a similar Accounts Payable or finance role. However, candidates with strong transferable experience and a solid understanding of purchase ledger processes will be considered due to budget constraints.You will also demonstrate:
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills
* Confident communication skills, particularly when dealing with supplier queries
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A proactive and professional approach to work
