Primary duties include receipt, sorting, and processing of samples, aiding laboratory staff with technical work, and entering patient data onto the pathology computer system. The role requires working accurately under pressure and being patient focused.
Job responsibilities

* Safely dispose of contaminated materials, including sharps and confidential waste.
* Act as the first point of contact for all telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries, dealing in a professional manner.
* Sort and identify specimens received, taking appropriate action in the event of discrepancies.
