A Stores Operative is responsible for managing the storage, handling, and distribution of goods and materials within the main stores in our headquarters at Shoreham Technical Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receiving Goods:
* Check and inspect goods received.
* Ensure they are of accurate quantity, type, and quality.
1. Issuing Stock:
* Pick and distribute materials to Ricardo staff.
* Keep records of items issued.
1. Inventory Control:
* Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies in SAP when necessary.
* Conduct regular stock counts and audits.
1. Record Keeping:
* Maintain documentation for deliveries, stock movements, and inventory levels.
* Use stock control ERP software
1. Equipment Operation:
* Operate forklifts, pallet pump trucks, or other material handling equipment.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory management.
* Forklift License
* Proficient in SAP
* Familiar with shipping tools such as DHL & FedEx.
* An understanding of customs clearance would be beneficial
