An established, design-focused manufacturing company is entering an exciting new phase of growth, including the launch of a new business location. We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to play a key role in supporting this next stage — bringing strong financial control, insight, and commercial awareness to the business.
This is a hands-on position with real influence, working closely with senior leadership to drive performance and support strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly management accounts in line with month-end timetables
Analyse performance against budget, clearly explaining variances and recommending corrective actions
Embed robust balance sheet and control account reconciliation processes to ensure fully supported trial balances
Lead budgeting and reforecasting processes aligned with strategic objectives
Deliver detailed financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions
Provide monthly analysis of production efficiency and stock movements
Prepare draft content for monthly KPI and board-level reporting
Manage credit control and oversee company cashflow
Liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting
About you
Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within a UK manufacturing or design-led environment
Strong working knowledge of SAGE 200
Solid understanding of UK accounting standards, financial regulations, and reporting requirements
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and methodical in approach
