Building Services Manager
Within Daniel Owen, we are recruiting on behalf of a worldwide facilities company that is on a mission to recruit a Building Services Manager.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Ensure that plant and equipment are efficiently and effectively maintained, make necessary adjustments, and report defects and malfunctions that cannot be fixed to the Helpdesk.
2. Ensure PPM schedules are completed within the required time frame, reporting any shortfalls or failures immediately to the FM manager.
3. Perform first-line maintenance of fixtures and fittings, such as tightening screws on window hinges, maintaining door handles, and making minor repairs as temporary measures after break-ins or vandalism.
4. Unblock sinks, traps, and waste pipes; adjust and re-washer taps; manage legionella testing; ensure sensor taps operate efficiently.
5. Attend to visiting personnel such as contractors, including completing safety inductions, risk assessments, hot work permits, and lone worker arrangements.
6. Clean light fittings and test lighting systems weekly, replacing minor parts like tubes, bulbs, fuses, starters, and diffusers as needed, following safe working practices.
7. Ensure all Building Management Systems operate correctly and ensure timely reinstatement of services in case of failure.

* Preferably experience in a PFI or similar environment
