We are looking for an Inventory Operator to join Thames Water permanently. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be part of the Inventory Operations and Supply Management team, responsible for providing safe custody and real-time visibility of stock holdings. You will ensure professional delivery and collection of critical stock and equipment across Thames Water & Alliance locations to support operational teams during incidents.
Responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative:
1. Operate mechanical handling equipment safely.
2. Receive FLT driving training (training provided).
3. Use SAP to reflect real-time inventory levels.
4. Update stock records.
5. Load and unload vehicles securely.
6. Manage daily receipts from Distribution Centres.
7. Process returns against work orders.
8. Maintain good housekeeping on-site.
9. Deliver and collect equipment and stock on time.
10. Ensure safe custody of stock and equipment.
Candidate requirements:
1. Previous warehouse experience.
2. Valid UK driving license and own transport.
3. Good numeracy, verbal, and written skills.
4. FLT license is beneficial but not essential; training provided.
5. Basic computer skills, including Excel.
6. Comfortable manual handling up to 25 kg.
Benefits include:
* Salary up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
* 24 days holiday, increasing to 28 with service, plus bank holidays.
