Working Hours: 30 hours worked across 5 days a week Mon-Fri

As POA Administrator, you will be responsible to assist the pre-operative assessment lead in providing a high level of administrative support for Pre-operative (Inpatients and day case).
Located in Pre-Operative Assessment area, this role will ensure the provision, accuracy and maintenance of all medical notes and associated clinical pathways, labels, wristbands and all other mandatory requirements on day of pre-operative assessment and day of admission. Ensuring that the hospital meets the regulatory and Spire standard of the single patient record.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
1. Liaise with the Patient Service Centre to co-ordinate the booking of initial pre-assessment appointments where applicable.
2. Forward planning from the Clinic and TCI lists to ensure that minimum data set (Medical Records, Booking Form, GP referral, GP clinical summary are on site and available for the patient’s pre-operative assessment appointment and the date of admission.
3. With the help of the pre-operative administration and clinical team ensuring all short-dated bookings < 7 days patients are captured and minimum data set (Medical Records, Booking Form, GP referral, GP clinical summary are available as above.
4. Ensure absolute accuracy with notes, associated clinical pathways, labels, wristbands and all other mandatory paperwork as per check lists.
5. Maintain hospital and departmental electronic and manual filing systems accurately.
6. Use track file to receive and return medical notes to all departments.
7. All patient notes and associated paperwork to be on the ward within the agreed period for short- dated patients < 7 days.
What do you need to have?
8. Experience in a similar role, providing a full high quality service
9. Full knowledge and application of MS Office
10. Computer literate
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
12. Knowledge of medical terminology and working knowledge of SAP or a similar patient booking system is desirable but not essential
13. Passion for customers
14. Have a systematic and organised approach to work
15. Able to work with tight deadlines
