We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to take on the role of Mid- Day Supervisory Assistant (MDSA).
The role will involve working for to support and guide the children during their lunch hour break.
The successful candidate will be expected to;
•Be available for duty every day during school term time (It is expected that all holidays are taken within school holiday times)
•motivate and lead lunchtime play activities
•Respond to incidents as and when necessary as per school policy
•Encourage positive social interaction and good behaviour
•Resolve issues/problems that may arise
•Assist and encourage the children in eating their meals and developing mealtime skills
•Maintain an agreed level of hygiene and cleanliness to ensure the well being of children, including toilet mishaps, other bodily fluids, spillages on floors or tables
•Assist in setting up/ clearing away dining room furniture if requested
•Be aware of and follow the Child Protection and Safeguarding policies of the school
•Support other professionals who work at the school
•Maintain and appreciate the requirement for absolute confidentiality in all school related matters
•Attend any relevant meetings or training offered in relation to your role
•Be prepared to gain and maintain basic Paediatric First Aid training / qualification
The successful applicant will join an established and enthusiastic team, who work very well together in providing an organised, stable and enjoyable lunchtime provision for our pupils.
