You will be joining the IT Solution Delivery team, who are responsible for the design and delivery of IT solutions for Synnovis project portfolio, as a Solution Designer.
The successful candidate will participate in projects and/or develop IT solutions according to experience and / or demonstrable aptitude and expertise.
Applicants should ideally have previous relevant health system support experience, formal Integration engine training as well as experience of health system implementation and deployment. However, equally as important is that the candidate is enthusiastic, flexible and willing to learn. There will be considerable scope for personal development in this role and many opportunities to learn new skills / techniques / tools.
Main duties of the job
The Solution Designer will form part of the Solution Delivery Team and will be required to design, develop, assure and implement solutions for a wide variety of requirements raised by the business. In addition, the successful candidate will provide specialist application support (typically 3rd line) for applications and solutions.
The dynamic nature of projects at Synnovis mean that close interaction with Project Managers/PMO team will also be key.
For line management, the Solution Designer will report to the Design Team Lead.

At Synnovis, we are currently shaping the future of pathology services by creating a world-leading Hub and Spoke pathology network with our NHS partners. A large part of this modernisation involves moving 70% of our services to a purpose built, state of the art Hub laboratory in the heart of London.

The successful candidate will work as a Solution Designer, forming part of the Solution Delivery Team and will be required to design, develop, assure and implement solutions for a wide variety of requirements raised by the business. Synnovis is a pathology partnership between SYNLAB UK and Ireland, and the NHS, including sites,Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, to deliver and transform pathology services across South East London.
The partnership provides services to 1.7 million people living in South East London, as well as to hundreds of thousands of patients from outside the region who use local healthcare services.
