Lime Blue Accountancy are excited to offer the opportunity for a trainee VAT and Payroll Administrator to join us on a full‑time basis, salary is negotiable for the right candidate.
Lime Blue accountancy is based in Aberdeen City and assist clients in a number of areas in relation to company and personal taxes.
Responsibilities
The trainee VAT and Payroll Administrator will be keen to learn/assist in a number of areas of tax and full training will be provided on preparation and filings including –
* Registering clients for VAT and PAYE with HMRC
* Ensuring effective administration of new clients, payroll and VAT
* Liaising with clients to collate records for statutory filings & to meet deadlines
* Reviewing payroll records provided and inputting into the relevant accounting systems to prepare weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly & monthly payslips for our clients
* Preparing pension submissions on the client’s behalf.
* Reviewing and summarising manual accounting records & accounting software for the account’s assistants for VAT purposes.
* To be trained in analysing company transactions for VAT return preparation, drafting and filing.
* To be trained in payroll processes, assisting in holiday cover, preparing payslips and pension submissions on behalf of clients, all associated submissions/RTI
* Other ad‑hoc duties to assist other departments as and when required
Qualifications
Qualification within a subject of an accounting background, or working towards, is preferred/advantageous but not essential for this role as full training will be given – position would also suit a school or college leaver with a keen interest in the accounting profession.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be required, as this is very much a client facing role.
