Overview
Come and join the Clinical School HR Team and be part of a world leading medical school at the University of Cambridge. Reporting to the Clinical HR Team Leader, an exciting opportunity has become available as a Clinical HR Assistant on a permanent basis. This key role will ensure a professional and seamless HR service is delivered to our clinical staff as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
In this fast paced role, you will work closely with the HR Staff hub recruitment team, department contacts and hiring managers and clinical employees providing a first class administrative service to ensure the smooth onboarding of new clinical staff.
* Draft contracts and ensure relevant compliance checks and paperwork are in place.
* Deal with clinical contract and pay queries.
* Advise on all medical staffing matters and set up new starters on the HR system.
* Juggle a busy inbox and provide advice and guidance in a professional and timely manner.
* Work towards deadlines and use initiative to resolve queries.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Contribute to key clinical projects and wider HR projects and initiatives.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience in a busy administrative role in recruitment or HR, or in a busy administrative role with a strong level of customer support.
Working arrangements
The hours of the role are full time, 36.5 hours per week. Hybrid working is in place with 2 office days a week and a full-time working pattern.
Team and wellbeing
You will join a supportive team which is part of a wider HR team of 26 HR colleagues. The organisation supports wellbeing and there are opportunities to join wellbeing events and activities as part of the Clinical School Wellbeing Programme.
Location and projects
The team is based in the Clinical School Office on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Key projects moving forward include a new Children\'s Hospital, Cancer Research Hospital and other Global Health initiatives.
