Recruit4staff are representing a well-established engineering company in their search for a Workshop Operative to work in Skelmersdale
Job Details:
Pay: Up to £16.00 per hour (PAYE)
Hours of Work: 7am–4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7am–12:00 Friday
Duration: Temp to Perm
Job Role: As a Workshop Operative, you will support Fabricator Welders with a range of workshop-based activities. The Workshop Operative will be responsible for operating machinery to cut and prepare materials, assisting with fabrication tasks, and maintaining a clean and organised working environment. Duties also include manual handling, painting steel components, and using an FLT truck to assist with yard operations and deliveries. This Workshop Operative role offers varied daily tasks and the chance to develop skills within a busy engineering setting.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
Previous experience working as a Workshop Operative or within an engineering/manufacturing environment
Manual handling experience
Experience operating workshop machinery
FLT truck experience
In-date FLT Licence
Full drivers licence
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
CCNSG Site Safety Passport or equivalent
CPCS/NPORS/RTITB Telehandler Licence
Experience in steel fabrication and welding work
Mechanical fitting experience
Experience working in a similar Workshop Labourer role
