You’ll take ownership of a vital internal Web Portal that helps us manage and report on multi-million-pound funding programmes designed to improve people’s lives across the West Midlands.
You’ll work closely with teams across the directorate to ensure the portal captures the right data, meets strict government requirements, and supports effective programme delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has a strong eye for detail, and wants their work to make a tangible impact.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Develop and maintain a web portal that meets the requirements of funders like the Department for Education.

* Work with internal stakeholders from budget holders to data teams to deliver clear, useful digital solutions.
* Regularly review and improve portal performance.
* Build new features to support new projects and changing requirements.
* Present updates and insights to senior management and delivery teams.
What’s Essential:
* Strong front-end development skills using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Experience with RESTful web services and version control systems.
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to development.
* Confident communicator, able to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
* Proficient in MS Office tools, especially for reporting and presentations.
* Comfortable managing your own time and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location: The location for this role is Summer Lane with at least 1 day a week spent in the office.
