Morson are working with the UK's leading defence manufacturer to find a new Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to work out of Sheffield or Barrow.
Role Description
* Managing and taking responsibility for a portfolio of suppliers and all quality-related activities including FAIs without daily supervision
* Identifying any adverse trends, recommending, and initiating corrective actions with suppliers to ensure effective closure
* Understanding and deploying quality process improvement techniques to ensure that continuous improvement is maintained within the Supply Chain
* Mentoring a small team of Quality professionals as and when required, and support other members of the overall Quality Team
* Maintaining compliance to Business Unit's local Quality Business Management System and Project Quality Plans
* The promotion of the value of Quality throughout the Business and Supply Chain
* May have international or domestic travel dependant on supplier portfolio and business need
