JOB Junior Mechanical Engineer

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking to take on a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Oldham on a permanent basis.
The Junior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes :
* Degree / HND / HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Experience or knowledge of pumps accessories and rotating equipment
* Technical knowledge with the ability to read engineering drawings
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials sheet metal plastics injection moulding machining assembly etc
* Proficiency with 3D CAD software- ideally SolidWorks Autodesk Inventor AutoCAD etc.
* Knowledge of tender process would be beneficial
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Excellent customer-service skills
* Confident and driven for career progression
The Junior Mechanical Engineer role will involve :
* Excellent opportunities for training and development with room to progress within the company
* Using 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
* completing design requirments for Rotating equipment and pumps
* Producing technical drawings
* Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
* Dealing with customers on a technical level
* Investigating new product lines and areas within which the company can expand
* Supporting technical delivery of the companys products and services
* Working on continuous improvement projects
