An engineering and manufacturing company specialising in advanced security detection and inspection equipment are looking for a Buyer to join them on a 12-month contract in Redhill.
Managing and liaising with current suppliers, being responsible for placing orders and managing processes. Supporting the operational supply chain using an MRP system.
Responsibilities:
Purchasing of materials
Preparation of supply chain documentation & quotations
Supporting the Senior Buyer in selecting suppliers
Daily review of MRP systems
Develop and manage vendor relationships to improve Quality, Cost & Delivery performance
Raise Purchase Orders in line with production requirements
Professional Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication skills at all levels
Computer literacy - Excel & Word essential, Access preferable
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for BOM, scheduling, forecast analysis, and capacity planning
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Dynamics D365 Experience
