We are currently recruiting multiple Wastewater (Hydraulic) Modellers for various long-term frameworks across the UK.
RPS, in partnership with Tetra Tech, has secured a £100 million framework from United Utilities to enhance river health in Northwest England, supporting water industry projects through AMP8 and beyond.
About The Team:
RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts delivering Asset Management and Operational Strategy for water clients, focusing on innovation and teamwork.
Candidate Profile:
Applicants should have experience with urban drainage projects, proficiency in InfoWorks ICM, GIS software, and data handling skills. Leadership and mentoring abilities are desirable.
Responsibilities:
1. Construct, verify, and maintain wastewater models.
2. Conduct feasibility and development assessments.
3. Ensure model quality and compliance.
4. Manage small projects.
5. Build strong client relationships.
6. Collaborate with team members for technical support.
7. Follow health, safety, and environmental standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in modelling within consultancy or water sector.
* Proficiency in Excel, Visual Basic, and InfoWorks ICM.
* Knowledge of GIS systems (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
* Ability to handle large datasets.
* Understanding of the UK water industry.
* Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
* Degree in a relevant technical field; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
* Chartered status or working towards it.
* Membership with professional bodies like IET, InstMC, or CIWEM preferred.
