Seven Social Care is looking for a Public Affairs Officer to fill an exclusive opportunity in Bromley.
We have opportunities available for up to 12 months and the pay is £17.31 per hour.
The Hiring manager is looking for someone who can work 36 hours a week (various shifts available from Monday to Sunday).
The role:
To support the Public Affairs Unit in providing a responsive, efficient, high quality and professional internal and external communications service for Bromley Council, with a focus on enhancing and protecting the organisation’s reputation.
To provide efficient and professional support for the team to ensure the delivery of effective communications and engagement activities, using existing and emerging channels to achieve this, in accordance with the Council’s corporate values and “One Council approach”.
Key Responsibilities:
To act as the first point of contact, maintaining professional communications with internal and external customers, including email and telephone enquiries, handling them as appropriate.
To create press releases, news reports, marketing materials, statements for social media Council websites etc, to agreed standards.
To create, edit and publish engaging video content, developing the Council’s use of video and social media.
To respond appropriately to media enquiries, preparing media releases and arranging interview opportunities.
To assist the Communications Executive in promoting and engaging stakeholders in participating with Council initiatives, using a wide range of techniques and methods as appropriate for the audiences.
To ensure that relationships with Members, senior managers and peers are the most effective for achieving business requirements.
