and main responsibilities
1. Co-ordinate a team to ensure the delivery of effective nursing care to patients and their families reflecting UHD Trust Values.
2. Deputise for the Ward Manager as and when required.
3. Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development,implementation and evaluation of programmes of care withoutsupervision.
4. Provides clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff.
5. Assist in leading and monitoring the performance and work of the Nursing Team

Essential criteria
6. Registration on Part 1, 8 or 15 of NMC RSCN/Child Branch
Experience
Essential criteria
7. Minimum of 2 years experience in related speciality at previous grade
8. Experience of leading, motivating and supporting a team
9. Ability to manage change
