Contract: Permanent • Hours per week: 37 • Salary: £28,122
This is a hybrid working role, so you’ll need to be able to work from our Head Office 1-2 times per week. This role will also have occasional travel to events across the UK when required.
Role
We’re excited to be looking for a Communications and Events Officer to join our PR, Comms and Events team. Our team is part of the Brand, Comms and Partnerships directorate and aims to position NCFE as a leading awarding organisation, educational charity and thought leader.
In this role, you’ll support the PR, Comms and Events team in promoting our products, service information and views through tailored communications, newsletters, exhibitions and events, websites, social media and more. You’ll help tell our story and ensure it resonates with our key audiences, turning complex information into compelling narratives. You’ll also support the delivery of a high-profile communications programme, creating engaging content across all channels and delivering events to reach our stakeholder base, including customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute external communications that align with brand objectives and tone of voice to build awareness, inform customers, strengthen reputation, and ensure consistency across channels
* Create and manage engaging content for customers and stakeholders, including newsletters, case studies, blogs, web content, FAQs, and social media
* Lead the coordination and delivery of newsletters across the different strands of the business
* Plan and deliver high-quality events, coordinate sponsorship and exhibition spaces from concept through evaluation
* Measure, evaluate and continuously improve communications and events activity to demonstrate impact and inform decision-making
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree-level qualification in marketing, communications or English related subject and/or CIM, CIPR or similar
* Prior experience in a comparable communications and events delivery role
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Exceptional copywriting, editing and proofreading skills with strong grammar and spelling
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences
* Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
