Overview
The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Nottingham is seeking five Teaching Associates to deliver language teaching for clinical communication in Arabic, British Sign Language (BSL), French, German, and Spanish. These full-time roles include 12.5 hours teaching per week (medical students), convening the Language for Clinical Communication module, and developing supporting materials. You will also contribute to assessment design and marking, and engage in departmental activities.
Responsibilities
* Deliver language teaching for clinical communication in Arabic, BSL, French, German, and Spanish.
* Convene the Language for Clinical Communication module and develop supporting materials.
* Contribute to assessment design and marking.
* Engage in departmental activities.
Qualifications
* Degree in the relevant language, native or near-native proficiency.
* Experience in communicative language teaching.
* PGCE, PGCHE or equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
* Experience in higher education and using e-learning tools is desirable.
