We seek a compassionate individual to join our supportive team in Uckfield as a permanent support worker, working morning shifts on weekdays and weekends. Four mornings a week from 7:30am to 10am. Jobshare is a possibility. Additional opportunities exist for more hours when required and to cover holidays for other support workers.
We're looking to recruit a caring and empathetic Carer/Support Worker to work in our home in Uckfield. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
This role involves supporting a 17-year-old autistic young man with associated learning difficulties and global delays. He uses an ACC device for communication, and your responsibilities will include aiding him with communication, independence skills, functional skills, occupational therapy for self-regulation, and personal care. Once fully trained, you will also assist him in engaging with the community and participating in enjoyable activities such as walks.
