This business specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic equipment used across a wide range of industries including construction, materials handling, steel processing and water treatment.
Due to continued demand, they are looking to add a skilled machinist to their machine shop team.
The Role This position will involve programming, setting and operating CNC lathes, working on large hydraulic cylinder components and associated parts.
The machines are Harrison Alpha lathes running Fanuc controls, so experience with conversational or Fanuc-based turning controls is highly desirable.
The role is very much hands-on machining within a heavy engineering environment, producing one-offs and batch work for hydraulic cylinder builds and repair work.
Due to the size and weight of components, you will also be working with overhead cranes and jig cranes to safely load and manoeuvre parts during machining.
