We’re looking for a Trusts & Grants Partner to help secure vital funding for our two hospices in Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities
* Research & Identification: Identify potential trusts, foundations, and grant-making opportunities aligned with our funding needs and organisational priorities. Deliver a rolling programme of bids to meet agreed annual income targets.
* Applications & Proposals: Prepare high-quality, compelling applications, proposals, and supporting documentation to secure funding.
* Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with funders, including trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies. Respond promptly to queries and opportunities, adapting proposals to align with funders’ priorities.
* Reporting & Stewardship: Ensure timely and effective reporting to funders, demonstrating impact and compliance with funding requirements. Collaboration: Work closely with the hospice teams to gather information, develop case studies, and ensure funder engagement reflects our mission and impact. Mentor colleagues to enable them to research and write strong bids of up to £5k.
* Contribute to the overall fundraising and engagement strategy, providing insight into trends, opportunities, and risks. Charity Sector: Keep up to date with sector trends, funding opportunities and best practice in trust fundraising. Ensure all activity is compliant with fundraising regulations, data protection law and internal policies.
Skills & Experience
* Proven success in securing significant grants from trusts, foundations, or statutory sources.
* Strong research, writing, and editing skills with a knack for telling compelling stories.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
* Confident relationship-builder, able to engage and influence funders and stakeholders.
* Numerate and able to understand, present, and manage budgets effectively.
* Knowledge of the charity sector, fundraising regulations, and best practice in grants management.
* Experience working collaboratively across teams to gather data, stories, and evidence for applications.
* Passionate about making a difference and aligned with the hospice’s mission and values
