Forde Recruitment, the leading provider of engineering staff within South Yorkshire, is currently seeking an experienced, ideally apprentice-served CNC Turner with G‑Code programming experience.
Responsibilities
* Read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Create, download, edit, archive, read and interpret CNC programs.
* Use CNC turning machines.
* Inspect and record all relevant dimensions.
* Complete all documentation and record labour bookings.
* Perform basic machine maintenance.
Qualifications
* Good and demonstratable knowledge of appropriate tooling.
* Good and demonstratable knowledge of appropriate cutting & machining conditions.
* Good and demonstratable knowledge of using measuring equipment.
* Engage well with other team members.
Hours: 39 hours per week.
Rotational shifts
* Days – Mon – Thurs – 06:00 – 14:35; Fri – 06:00 – 12:00.
* Nights – Mon, Wed – 16:00 – 02:20; Thurs – 16:00 – 01:20 (x1.5 premium applies for nights).
Salary – approximately £45k to £55k (dependent upon shift pattern and experience).
