About the Role:
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong experience across both Pre and Post Contract stages on complex infrastructure projects. You'll ideally have worked in one or more of either the Highways, Rail, Energy, Utilities or Aviation sectors.
You don't need to be an expert in every area, but a proactive mindset and a desire to build on your experience is essential. If you're looking to play a key role in the delivery of high-impact projects while applying best practice and creative problem-solving, this opportunity could be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities:
·Provide commercial management on infrastructure projects.
·Prepare and review procurement documentation, including Invitations to Tender (ITTs).
·Work with NEC contracts and understand contract administration.
·Assist with cost planning, measurement (including Highways Method of Measurement and CESMM), and reporting.
·Engage with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives.
·Take ownership of medium-sized projects with minimal supervision.
·Use your strong written and verbal communication skills to contribute effectively to project delivery.
Requirements:
·Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
·Working toward or holding a recognised professional chartership (e.g., MRICS, CIOB).
·Experience using NEC contracts and working across infrastructure sectors.
·Knowledge of construction techniques, technology, and industry standards.
·Familiarity with procurement strategy and tender processes.
·Strong competency in Microsoft Office tools.
·Ability to foster strong client relationships and contribute to team collaboration.
Desirable:
·Experience preparing full ITT documentation suites.
·Understanding of technical and project leadership responsibilities.
·A commercial mindset with an interest in account management and business development.
