Our client is a leading supplier of renowned branded healthcare and beauty products, instantly recognisable in the market. With a strong foothold in the Grocery, Convenience, Pharmacy, and Wholesale channels, they have demonstrated remarkable success and fostered an exceptional culture, acknowledged through numerous prestigious awards. Experiencing substantial growth, they have solidified their position as a leading supplier across their operating categories. As their business expands, they are actively seeking a National Account Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.


Role


As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing business within key Discount Retail accounts, including Aldi, Lidl, B&M Retail, TJ Morris, Home Bargains, One Beyond, Poundstretcher & Poundland. Driving growth across a portfolio of branded healthcare products, you will lead the development of account strategies, create and deliver Joint Business Plans, and ensure promotional activity and new product listings maximise business potential.


This role also includes management responsibility for two direct reports (Key Account Managers), providing coaching, development, and support to maximise team performance.


You will negotiate favourable trading terms, manage promotional budgets, and monitor account performance, all while building strong relationships with customers at multiple levels.


Collaborating closely with marketing, sales planning, and finance, you will ensure stock availability, deliver budgeted sales, and identify opportunities to further strengthen market share.


Requirements


To be considered for this role, you will have:

* Minimum 3 years’ national account management experience within branded FMCG (Food, Beverage or Healthcare / Health and Beauty)
* Proven track record of delivering account-specific Joint Business Plans.
* Strong commercial acumen, including ROI calculations, promotional evaluation, and sales forecasting.
* The ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
* Confident negotiation skills, with experience engaging up to trade director level.
* Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to an intermediate level.


Location


This is a fully home-based role with travel to customers; you will typically visit head office once a month (South East England).
