What's involved with this role: Interim Project Manager Reference no: NE Lincolnshire 5267213 Pay Rate: £395.00 per day PAYE 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 6 months City: Cleethorpes We would welcome the successful candidate spending time in the office in Grimsby working with the team, but we would also support some flexible working allowing the candidate to work from home, whilst also attending the office for key meetings and site visits. You will lead and manage a portfolio of regeneration projects—such as town centre and industrial developments—from concept through to delivery and evaluation, supporting the Council’s ‘Stronger Economy’ priority and delivering outcomes aligned with the Local Plan and Economic Strategy. Working collaboratively across the Project Management and Regeneration teams, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. Key duties: Work collaboratively within the Project Management team to plan and deliver a range of regeneration projects across the borough. Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, including internal officers, external partners, consultants, and stakeholders, ensuring aligned and effective delivery. Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation and systems, managing stakeholder and communications plans throughout the project lifecycle. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks by implementing appropriate controls and actions. Oversee project budgets and external funding, ensuring financial compliance, accurate monitoring, and timely submission of funding claims. Key requirements: Project management qualification eg Prince 2 or equivalent and/or significant project management experience Knowledge of and experience of using project management techniques and systems eg Prince 2 or equivalent Experience of project managing the development and delivery of capital regeneration and development projects Understanding of the processes and issues in achieving development and regeneration Excellent project and programme management skills Excellent interpersonal skills Strong communication skills, oral and written, including report writing Desirable: Experience of working in or with local government or other relevant large public sector organisations Please quote the Job Title & Vacancy Reference No. in your application, or we will be unable to match your CV to the role being applied for.
