Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to join the team working on a brand new, state of the art Student Accommodation scheme. As the Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and safety of our resident buildings, ensuring a comfortable and secure living environment for our residence.
Salary: £34,083 per year
Working Hours: You will work 37.5 hours per week/7.5 hours per day, 5 days over 7 days including bank holidays and weekends. You will be rota'd to work between the hours of 7:30 - 20:00.
Responsibilities:
Day to day management of reactive and preventative maintenance.
Identifying and rectifying resided maintenance issues e.g. unblocking sinks and showers, 'making good' damaged paintwork.
Ensuring a secure, comfortable, and safe urbanest environment. Taking pride in the appearance of the property.
You'll be carrying out checks and building walks - logging all your observations on company iPad.
Inspecting the risers, communal areas, our powerhouse, the plant room.
Work with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to ensure maintenance records and Property documentation files are accurate and up to date.
Dealing with issues or incidents and calling the emergency services when needed.
Assisting on-site contractors to ensure completion of work and maintain health and safety procedures.
Understanding the importance of Health & Safety and Fire Safety in all that you do and report anything that is not safe.
Suitable candidates:
Will have previous experience working within the Maintenance field, ideally within Student Accommodation, Hotels or Residential.
Ability to multitask various jobs and prioritise tasks.
Able to carry out all areas of maintenance: Plumbing, Light Electrical, Painting and Decorating.
