Your Role at Our School As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for: * Planning and delivering stimulating and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE), with potential for A-Level teaching in your specialist area. * Cultivating an infectious enthusiasm for science and encouraging a spirit of inquiry and critical thinking. * Employing diverse teaching strategies to engage all learners and maximise their understanding. * Monitoring student progress meticulously, providing insightful feedback, and contributing to school reports. * Playing an active role in curriculum development and the creation of innovative teaching materials. * Leading or supporting extracurricular science activities, enriching student experiences beyond the curriculum. * Contributing positively to the pastoral life of the school (as appropriate for your chosen hours). What We're Looking For * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in a Science discipline. * Proven experience teaching Science effectively to secondary school students (Key Stage 3 & 4 essential; Key Stage 5 desirable). * A profound passion for science and the ability to convey this enthusiasm to students. * Comprehensive subject knowledge across the sciences, enabling you to teach combined and separate sciences up to GCSE. * An energetic and creative teaching approach that inspires curiosity and critical thinking. * Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive and productive learning atmosphere. * A collegial and proactive attitude, with strong communication skills and a desire to contribute to a thriving department.
