About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity to bring knowledge and skills to our vibrant team. In the role of Vacant Properties Officer, you will contribute towards the efficient and effective management of the turnaround of Temporary Accommodation and emergency accommodation that HOST use for homeless households by ensuring that the desired property standards are met when new households move into the accommodation.
You will undertake, either solely or as part of a small team, the cleaning of void properties and designated areas within Trafford’s homeless family’s unit to ensure they are kept in a clean condition.
You will also be responsible for cleaning the dispersed temporary accommodation properties when they become void and carrying out minor repairs and decoration, in a timely manner, within this role.
Responsibilities
* Clean void properties and designated areas to ensure they are kept in a clean condition.
* Contribute to the turnaround of Temporary Accommodation and emergency accommodation to meet property standards on move-in.
* Undertake minor repairs and decoration as required, in a timely manner.
About You / Qualifications
* Experience of cleaning properties and/or communal areas, with additional DIY experience (e.g., hanging doors, changing handles, fixing cupboards) and the ability to paint to an acceptable standard.
* Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Word; willingness to learn and undergo role-specific training.
* Methodical approach, able to follow instructions and provide a high quality standard of work.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and organised with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Full driving license, as you will be expected to drive a company van to and from properties.
