About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer/Course Manager in Equine to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in planning, delivering, assessing, and evaluating equine courses, ensuring an outstanding learner experience. As Course Manager, you will take responsibility for curriculum development, student progress, and quality assurance, while building strong links with industry to enhance employability and reputation.


Key responsibilities

* Deliver high‑quality teaching and assessment across equine programmes.
* Develop curriculum content and schemes of work aligned with awarding body requirements.
* Provide course management for one or more student groups, ensuring outstanding achievement rates.
* Implement quality assurance processes and contribute to departmental KPIs.
* Build strong industry links and participate in marketing and recruitment activities.


The successful candidate will

* Hold a minimum Level 4 qualification, ideally an Equine Degree (Level 6); a Master’s (Level 7) is desirable.
* Possess Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.
* Have a recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards).
* BHS Stage 3 Coach (BHSAI) is desirable.
* Demonstrate relevant experience in teaching and/or the equine industry.

Please note this role constitutes 'regulated activity' as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must also have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this. In addition, online checks will be carried out during the recruitment process.
