Business Development Managers (Junior & Senior)– Defence & Communications Location: Redditch, Worcestershire Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time - On Site/Hybrid/Remote Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) About the Company Steatite Communications, a leading provider of advanced communications solutions including Wave Relay MANET systems, is looking to hire two Business Development Managers — one Junior and one Senior — to drive growth, build strong customer and partner relationships, and support high-impact projects in Defence, Intelligence, and commercial sectors. About the Role The Business Development Managers will be responsible for driving growth, building strong customer and partner relationships, and supporting high-impact projects in Defence, Intelligence, and commercial sectors. Responsibilities Develop and maintain long-term customer and partner relationships. Identify and convert new business opportunities. Consult with clients to design solutions that meet technical and business needs. Support demonstrations, trials, events, and tradeshows. Travel for meetings and collaborative projects. Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful outcomes. Qualifications Junior Business Development Manager: 1–2 years’ relevant experience or strong potential to grow. Senior Business Development Manager: 2–5 years’ relevant experience with a proven track record. Required Skills A proven history within business development or an acumen for the role. Experience and understanding of the sales process. An understanding of the existing UK MoD structure and procurement frameworks. Have or gain and good technical knowledge of the product line(s). Good Microsoft skills and experience with power point. Technical knowledge of networking, IP, RF/ wireless technology specifically Wave Relay MANET. Motivated, adaptable, and collaborative. Experience in Defence, Communications, or Intelligence preferred. Experience collaborating directly with customers and end users. Collaborative approach and able to work effectively both internally and externally to the business First class communication skills with ideally proven experience in an Sales discipline Eligibility for UK Government Security Clearance. Clean UK driving licence. Preferred Skills Desirable for both roles: Desirable to have technical knowledge/have qualifications, in networking, IP scheming, and RF. Why Steatite Communications?
